The First China-Russia Energy Business Forum Held In Beijing

On November 29, the first China-Russia Energy Business Forum opened in Beijing. As an important platform to promote energy cooperation between China and Russia, the forum is co-hosted by CNPC and Rosneft with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce and National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China as well as Russia's Presidential Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security.

At the forum, representatives from Chinese and Russian enterprises discussed in depth the opportunities for energy cooperation under the theme of "Deepening all-round cooperation between China and Russia in energy trade, investment and finance", laying a solid foundation for furthering comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership between the two countries.

During the forum, CNPC chairman Wang Yilin and Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin held talks on related issues and signed a memorandum of understanding on science and technology cooperation on behalf of the two sides.
